Born in 1935 of the commitment and passion of his grandfather Vincenzo, Rotisserie "Zio Pietro" was proposed initially as a butcher and stove takeaway. The activity is open to the public only three days a week, it was at the forefront at parties or local fairs. In 1948, the company operations, succeeded by his son Pietro, who, even today, remains dedicated to delicatessen with great dedication.
Subsequently, the crisis of the nineties and the fierce competition from large supermarkets, which led to the tables of Italian meat at a lower price, led his nephew Peter to transform the butcher in a cooker ready.
So it was that "Da Zio Pietro" became the first business in Cisternino to delight customers with locally sourced meats of exceptional quality and processed by hand. All customers will only have to sit back and enjoy the delicacies, offered by this 80 years old family business.
